Marianne Niosi
Marianne Niosi is a gender-transformative strategist, communicator and facilitator with fifteen years of experience in gender equality and sexual and reproductive health, rights and justice. Working in French, English and Spanish, she helps organizations and movements clarify what they stand for, build consensus, and turn shared values into strategy, policy and practice.
Her expertise spans participatory facilitation, qualitative research, strategic and advocacy communications, coalition-building and governance in federated structures. She is especially skilled at multi-stakeholder processes where trust, diplomacy and clear writing determine the outcome.
As Charter of Values Lead at the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), Marianne co-led the Identity Initiative, facilitating consultation across member associations worldwide and co-authoring the Federation's new Charter of Values, adopted unanimously by its General Assembly. She is now leading its implementation.
Previously, as a member of Le Planning Familial, France's leading feminist and reproductive justice federation, she participated in grassroots service delivery and advocacy in local and regional chapters, later becoming the organization's Executive Director. As such, she contributed to the development of the strategic communications campaign that led to enshrining abortion rights in the French Constitution.
Before turning to civil society, Marianne spent fifteen years as a journalist, including as a bilingual news editor at France 24, and remains a long-form writer at heart. She holds Master's Degrees in Public Health and in Political Science, and is completing a graduate diploma in creative writing at Université Paris 8.
