Jennifer Geib
Jennifer (Jenny) Geib is a graphic designer specializing in well-crafted, impactful publications that audiences want to read, and all the collateral that goes along with them.
She started her career in international development programming, working on projects throughout Latin America, Asia, and Africa, both from Washington, DC, and as full-time field-based staff in South Sudan and Liberia. She supported and managed programming across sectors, including governance, health, education, gender-based violence prevention, environment, and infrastructure, doing everything from writing proposals to leading and managing large program teams. Jenny received her BA in International Relations/Latin American Studies from George Washington University and her MA in Governance and Development from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex.
In 2009, Jenny transitioned to working as a full-time consultant, supporting organizations from Cape Town, South Africa, her home for 15 years. During this time, she retrained as a graphic designer, learned the ins and outs of publication design, and began applying those skills to client projects.
She honed her design skills, continually learning and improving her technical design expertise and adding new tools to her work. She brings her extensive programmatic experience into her design work, diving into the content to create work that is not only visually impactful but really speaks to what donors and programmatic audiences need and want. Her technical writing background helps her translate complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand graphics, and she provides support to improve content for design. Her intellectual curiosity fuels all aspects of her work, prompting her to ask questions and suggest solutions that help clients think more strategically about how they communicate about their programming and impact.
Jenny currently resides in Atlanta, GA, with her husband and two kids, and continues to work with clients worldwide and throughout the United States on design projects.
