Anne Sprinkel

Anne Sprinkel is a bilingual gender and behavior change specialist with over fifteen years of experience spanning humanitarian, development, and private sector contexts. She began her career with CARE, supporting multi-sector adolescent sexual and reproductive health, food security, and maternal health programming before leading CARE's global Tipping Point Initiative on child marriage prevention and investing in the organization's core gender norms change model. She has extensive experience in gender and sexual and reproductive justice measurement, design, and implementation, with a focus on integrating gender transformative approaches and violence prevention across sectors, particularly for adolescents.

Since going independent, Anne has worked with organizations like the Gates Foundation's Gender Norms Learning Agenda, Business for Social Responsibility's RISE Program to scale violence prevention, Girls First Fund's learning and strategy, and Girls Not Brides, bringing together gender analysis, qualitative research, and program design across emergency and development settings.

She's especially drawn to the space where research meets practice, translating insights into program models, training curricula, and advocacy strategies that hold up once they reach the field. More recently, her work has extended into human rights due diligence and responsible sourcing, applying her GBV prevention background to labor rights in global supply chains.

Anne holds an MA in International Development from George Washington University, with a focus on gender in emergencies, and a BA in Sociology from the College of William & Mary.
