Heidy is a human rights advocate with over 14 years’ experience listening to colleagues in the global south and learning alongside them. Her focus has so far been on youth and children issues, SRHR, and disability rights.

She is passionate about improving conditions for marginalised groups, loves asking questions, has the courage to propose ideas and to take the first step. Heidy has extensive experience coordinating partnerships and building relationships across cultural contexts. This includes leading an organisation in the field, in a developing country, and working at the UK bases of international organisations. She understands how to develop tools to capture learning and improve performance and has acted as Monitoring & Evaluation advisor for international organisations during nearly a decade.

Heidy’s experience spans across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas. She is a Colombian and British Citizen, and her mother tongue is Spanish.
